It comes in different types, shape, sizes, categories and colours. Bras are made to support the breast and not a death warrant. The breast is a hormonal development that takes place around the chest area when a girl reaches puberty.
Bra is one of the most popular underwear worn by women and at the same time can kill slowly when used wrongly.

To some ladies, knowing the right size is a huge task. It is advisable not to wear an under size bra. The size of Brassier ranges from size 32,34,36,38, 40 and more. So you should make the right choice among the above named sizes.

Make out time today to know your right size with this simple illustration. With your bra on, wrap a measuring tape around your back and across the fullest part of your breast. Don't pull too tight! To find your cup size, subtract your band measurement from this measurement.

If the difference is...

1 inch, you're an A cup
2 inches, a B cup
3 inches, a C cup
4 inches, a D cup
5 inches, a DD cup
6 inches, a DDD cup

So if your cup measurement is 39 inches and your band size is 36 inches, the 3-inch difference makes you a 36C.

Secondly, buy bras that makes you feel comfortable. There are made from different fibres ranging from satin to cotton, lace etc. But the best is the cotton which helps to absorb heat compare to any other. Take note; your outfit also determines your choice of bra.

Mother care bras are also available for nursing mothers as it helps lactating mothers to stay clean by preventing breast milk from staining their dress.

We also have the disadvantages of bras when it’s worn wrongly and this disadvantage might lead to health risk.

Be sure not to go to bed with your bra on as it could pose a lot of health risk ranging from cancer to breast lump. The Breast is meant to be free at night, you don’t need to tight up the breast at night when you are about going to bed. When the bra is too tight, it can also lead to cancer of the breast which might warrant one to lose one or both breasts through surgery.

Always check your breast for lump(s), early detection can save you a lot. No one knows your body better than you and everyone will have their own way of touching and looking for changes as there’s no special technique and you don’t need any training. It’s good to get into the habit of doing this regularly, maybe when you’re in the bath or shower, or while getting dressed in the morning. You might prefer to do it while standing up or lying down. Either way, the important thing is to be familiar with how your breasts look and feel normally, so you notice anything unusual and remember to check the whole breast area, including your upper chest and armpits.

Wash your bra as often as possible to avoid bacterial and fungal infections. The bra is seen as the most fashionable item underneath a woman’s dress and should not be a warrant for death.
